About the center


The Digital Transformation Center at King Abdulaziz University is the body in charge of overseeing all digital transformation operations at the institution, as well as the engine that supports the executive sectors of the digital transformation frameworks. The center is also the link that connects and organizes digital transformation mechanisms and processes between the university and its sectors, as well as between all ministries, sectors, and entities outside the university, in accordance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's digital transformation policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • 1. Study the current situation and identify the challenges to the university's digital transformation.
  • 2. Create a strategic plan for the transition to a smart campus and integrate digital executive strategies and initiatives into the university's digital strategy.
  • 3. Develop a digital governance framework and approve policies and technical standards relating to the university's digital transformation.
  • 4. Develop a framework for integration with various government programs and follow up reports on digital transformation in coordination with various university sectors.
  • 5. Oversight of the electronic portal and related digital systems, as well as continual enhancement of Arabic and foreign content to meet the highest international standards.
  • 6. Initiate national, regional, and strategic international connections and alliances to the university's position in digital transformation.
  • 7. Propose education and training programs that contribute to the development of competencies, specialized human cadres, and the promotion of digital citizenship awareness.
